No support July 5, 2006 Reviewer:  Billo See all my reviews >

Worked ok for a few weeks, then quit recording. Will play dvd's but won't record. The only response from Cyberhome is to use Sony or Verbatim dvd's. Guess what? I was using Sony dvd's, exclusively. They will not respond after the initial contact. No phone number available to call them, they just refer me to their website. Recommend you avoid all Cyberhome products.

What a pile of trash! June 25, 2006 Reviewer:  d0nut (Milwaukee WI)  See all my reviews >

Our unit made it a whopping 3hrs before turning into a doorstop. It recorded 1/2 a DVD and puked.

The best course of action would be to avoid this unit and buy a good brand name, thats what we are heading off to do!

If u like to throw $$ away, sent it to me instead!!!!! June 13, 2006 Reviewer:  World Cup fan "dlion" (Texas)  See all my reviews >

What a piece of junk!! None of the blank discs work on this thing!! It over heats and stops working! It just spins, and spins, and spins! I've had it for about 6 months, used it a couple of times, and now that the World Cup is here, I CANT USE IT!!! What a frustration!!!
Unless you want to throw your money away, dont buy it! If you like to throw your money away, I'll give you my address and you can mail me your check. At least I'll thank you for it.

what junk! June 7, 2006 Reviewer:  doug "doug" (St. Louis, MO USA)  See all my reviews >

I purchased this to have a cheap way to record TV shows on one TV and then watch them (on another DVD player) in another room with a large screen TV...what junk this unit is! [...] Well, to finish the review, I returned the unit to Target and purchased an on-sale unit from [another retailer]...well, guess what? It worked perfectly! I can record TV shows and then play those DVDs in any of my other DVD units--without glitches. Don't buy this unit. Cyberhome is pure junk, in my opinion.

Quality of product and service June 3, 2006 Reviewer:  Dave "Dave" (Tennessee)  See all my reviews >

My experience with the Cyberhome DVR has rated less than a 1 (one). Product does not work with most available blank disk, that is when it works at all. Also Cyberhome could care less if you are happy with their products. [...]
Anyway run away from this companies products.

Love It!!! May 22, 2006 Reviewer:  Helpdesk "Helpdesk" (Houston)  See all my reviews >

I have had this recorder for over 1 year now. I love it. Pros: The operation of the machine has been flawless. Even the kids were using it for a while.
2) It has used any brand recordable DVD I have placed into it.
3) Numerous inputs and outputs.
4) Small footprint. I have mine sitting under my computer monitor stand.
Cons: 1) The on screen menu can't be figured out without the manual. 2) Without the remote control, you will be in trouble. Controls on the machine are sparse. The remote control is required. Don't misplace it.

bad brand & bad company May 11, 2006 Reviewer:  Southern Gent "J. T." (McAllen, Texas)  See all my reviews >

The DVR worked for about 6 months before it broke down. I then sent it back to the company since it was still under warranty. I have not heard from them in 7 weeks. Now I've tried to e-mail their support site and my e-mail gets returned "delivery to the reciepent failed." This is strange because I had used their e-mail address when I first sent in my product. They also have no phone numbers in the product manual. I'll never buy their products again.

Do not purchase! May 2, 2006 Reviewer:  PC Nut "Doug W." (Dayton, OH)  See all my reviews >

Have had this recorder for approx. 9 months. Worked fine for about 5 months (recording both + and - R/RW, then 4 months ago it stopped recording any discs.

Tried to update firmware from Cyberhome website and the unit did not recognize disc. Cyberhome said unit needs to be fixed at a cost of 89.95 + S/H.

No Thanks! I'll find another BRAND NAME unit.

Save yourself the hassle, do not buy it!

bad decision April 3, 2006 Reviewer:  M. Barrett "just another consumer" Real Name (houston texas)  See all my reviews >

I never had the opportunity to record anything, much less even play dvds on this DVD-r as it freezes or states "bad disc". Stay away from this brand. Completely. doesn't even deserve one star.

It seemed to good to be true, and it is

Almost right... February 12, 2006 Reviewer:  T-rock east bay See all my reviews >

I have had this recorder for apx 8 months. it records just fine. The trouble is... i also use a cable box and this recorder is not cable friendly. Also, i have tried every brand/type of media and it will ONLY record on the 3 CyberHome disc that came with the recorder.
